All Benton Lions coaches must register to their specific team through the PlayHQ registration link provided for players.

When you open the link, simply select Coach as your role and follow the prompts to complete your registration. This ensures you are correctly linked to your team for fixtures, communication and club administration.

All coaches must hold a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) with both the Mornington District Basketball Association (MDBA) and Benton Lions Basketball Club listed as organisations you are involved with. Your WWCC number will be required during registration, so please ensure it is entered correctly.

Teachers with a current VIT registration are exempt from the WWCC requirement and should enter their VIT details when prompted.

As part of the process, coaches will also complete the Member Protection Declaration within PlayHQ.

Benton Lions work with MDBA and Basketball Victoria to provide coaches with relevant resources and learning opportunities. The club will notify all coaches of any upcoming opportunities.

When you open the link, select Team Manager as your role and follow the prompts to complete your registration. This ensures you are correctly linked to your team for communication, fixtures and club administration throughout the season.

All team managers must hold a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) with both the Mornington District Basketball Association (MDBA) and Benton Lions Basketball Club listed as organisations you are involved with. The Team Manager is the key link between Benton Lions, the coach and your team families. A great team manager helps make sure the season run smoothly for everyone.

Your responsibilities include:

• Managing team registration and weekly match payments
• Organising and maintaining the scoring roster for each game
• Sharing fixture times, training details and club updates with families
• Supporting the coach with team logistics and parent communication
• Being the go-to contact for uniform questions, fill-in player needs and general team organisation
